Welcome to SaltLight Candles! Below you’ll find answers to some of our most common questions. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to contact us — we’re always happy to help.

1. What makes SaltLight Candles different?

SaltLight Candles was created out of love and faith — with a mission to share the light of Christ through clean-burning, hand-poured candles. Each candle is made with non-toxic ingredients, natural soy wax, and phthalate-free fragrances, ensuring a safe burn for you, your family, and your pets.

2. Are your candles safe for pets?

Yes! Our candles were inspired by our dog, Journey, and made specifically with pet safety in mind. We use clean, natural ingredients that don’t contain harmful toxins or synthetic additives found in many commercial candles.

3. What type of wax do you use?

We use 100% natural soy wax, which is eco-friendly, renewable, and burns longer and cleaner than traditional paraffin wax. Soy wax also allows for a beautiful fragrance throw without overwhelming the room.

4. How long do your candles burn?

Our burn times vary depending on the size:

  • 8 oz candle: approximately 35–40 hours

  • 12 oz candle: approximately 50–60 hours

 

For the best performance, keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch and allow the melt pool to reach the edges during the first burn.

5. What is the meaning behind your candle names?

Each SaltLight candle is inspired by scripture and biblical truths — created to encourage reflection, peace, and gratitude. From Selah to Sanctuary, every scent is meant to remind you to pause, pray, and rest in God’s presence.

6. Do you offer seasonal or limited-edition scents?

Yes! We release special collections for Fall, Christmas, and other seasons throughout the year. Follow us on social media or join our email list to be the first to know about new scent launches and restocks.

7. How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order is placed, and a tracking number once it’s shipped. During holidays or product launches, processing times may be slightly longer.

8. Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Because our candles are handmade, we cannot accept used returns. However, if your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please reach out within 7 days of delivery, and we’ll make it right. Customer satisfaction means everything to us.

9. Do you offer wholesale or bulk orders?

Yes! We love partnering with boutiques, churches, and gift shops. Please email us at [insert wholesale email or form link] for more information about wholesale pricing or custom bulk orders.

10. How can I make my candle last longer?

  • Trim your wick to ¼ inch before each burn

  • Allow your candle to burn until the melt pool reaches the edges (especially on the first use)

  • •Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time

  • Keep away from drafts, pets, and children


These simple steps will help your candle burn evenly and extend its life.

We usually respond within 1–2 business days.

13. Broken Item in shipping

Less than 1% of our packages receive damage during transit. This is due to the high level of care we take in packaging your items. While our goal is to have zero damaged shipments, breakage does happen from time to time due to the nature of glass items & shipping. In the rare event that 1 or more of your items break, good news. Your package has shipping insurance!! Please take pictures of your broken item inside the box, with the packaging, and a picture of the shipping label on the outside of the box. Send us your pictures along with which of your items were damaged, and we will send a replacement out to you within 3 business days or offer a store credit. PLEASE USE CARE WHEN OPENING YOUR PACKAGE. A BROKEN GLASS CANDLE WILL BE SHARP AND COULD CAUSE INJURY.

14. Wrong Shipping Address

It is your responsibility to make sure you enter the shipping address correctly. Please double-check your addresses to ensure they are correct, especially if you are sending our candles as a gift. Unfortunately, I cannot be held responsible if you enter the wrong shipping address. I have absolutely no way of knowing if a shipping address is correct or incorrect. If an item cannot be delivered and is returned to me, it is your responsibility to pay for re-shipping. If you catch that the shipping address is wrong BEFORE the item ships, please send me a message, and I'm more than happy to update it for you. Thank you for your understanding!!
